The Owen J. Roberts School District, comprised of seven townships covering 110 square miles, is located in Northern Chester County, Pennsylvania. The District enrolls approximately 4,600 students from kindergarten through twelfth grade in one high school, a middle school, and four elementary schools with a fifth currently under construction.
The School District is continuing to evolve from a farming community to that of a rural suburban community. This community growth has brought many new families to the area seeking a quality education for their children. Over a ten-year period, the number of graduates pursuing higher education has grown from 84% in 1995 to 92% in 2005. The need to pursue higher education has become increasingly important in our rapidly changing information-based society.
The Owen J. Roberts School District is committed to inspiring and enabling learners of all ages to realize their intellectual potential, pursue their personal development, and become responsible citizens by providing a dynamic and challenging educational program through a partnership among school, students, families, and the community. |
