Who: EVES students in grades 4-5 or 6 who love to read!

    What: Chester County Reading Olympics, sponsored by the CCIU. Reading Olympics team members will share responsibility for reading books from a selected list and will participate in a friendly competition with other Chester County schools this spring.  East Vincent will be entering teams at two levels: the 6th grade (middle school) level and the 4th-5th  grade (elementary) level.  Each team member will be responsible for reading a minimum of 5 books between now and May.  Teams will be created on a first come, first served basis.     When: Practices will be held 1-2 times per month, November thru May, during the lunch/recess block for gr.4-5 on Day 1 and gr. 6 on Day 2 (mandatory) and before school (optional) at 8am.  Dates TBD

    Your child’s attendance is required for one evening of VIRTUAL competition.  Grades 4 & 5 will compete on May 5th or 10th  (OJR will be assigned a date closer to the event).  Grade 6 will compete on May 3rd.

    Where: Practices will take place in the EVES Library with Mrs. Riggs, the coach. We hope to participate in the virtual evening competition as a group from the EV Library as well. 

    Cost: $15/student, paid via School Pay by October 29th.
