For the past nine years, I have been the gifted support teacher at East Vincent Elementary School, as well as the First Lego League (robotics) coach. Prior to serving as the gifted support teacher, I taught fifth grade at EVES for seven years.
I work with students to identify their academic strengths and with their teachers to design instruction that will continue to cultivate these students' strengths. East Vincent's gifted support program seeks to develop students who are healthy and growing academically, socially, and emotionally.
I really love teaching STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) and learning alongside the students as we discover new, amazing information. I am also an avid reader (fiction is my favorite) and enjoy working with students on writing with voice and style. I truly enjoy working with students who are passionate about learning and growing, and I consider myself very lucky to be apart of the East Vincent family.
In my free time, I love to bike, hike, read, play board games, and spend time with my nieces and nephews. I've also been learning to kayak, which has been lots of fun.
I am a Google Certified Educator.
