A Child's Place Before & After School Child Care
Since 2017, A Child's Place has partnered with the District to provide extended-day child care in all five elementary schools. The Before & After Care Programs offer a comfortable setting where students have time to explore hobbies, play games, and participate in a wide variety of activities. A Child's Place creates a safe, supportive, and engaging atmosphere where exploring and play go hand-in-hand. In addition, the After Care program includes time for homework, outdoor play, organized and independent activities, and a nutritious snack.
A Child's Place also provides a unique opportunity to extend a kindergartener's half day to create a full day of learning. Each program is staffed with a certified teacher and teacher's assistant to ensure an involved educational experience that parallels the District curriculum.
Before Care: 6:30am – 8:50 am
Kindergarten Enrichment: AM Session 8:50 – 12:35 or PM Session 11:40 – 3:30 After Care: 3:30pm until 6:00pm
Early Dismissal Care: End of school day – 6:00pm
Day-Off Program: 6:30am – 6:00pm
•Full-time, part-time and occasional use options.
•Sibling discounts are offered to families enrolled for full-time care.
•Fun, academically based Kindergarten curriculum that enhances the OJRSD mission.
•Before and After care programs consist of a variety of activities such as homework time, outdoor play, group and independent activities and a small snack.
