Congratulations to our East Vincent and OJR Middle School Odyssey of the Mind teams. Over Memorial Day weekend, ten of our East Vincent students participated in the Odyssey of the Mind creative problem solving world finals competition. The contest was held at Iowa State University, May 23rd through the 27th. Teams from over a dozen other countries and numerous states took part in this competition.
Our East Vincent team finished in fourth place overall competing in a
division with 46 teams at world finals. Out team also placed second in this same group in Spontaneous Problem Solving earning a score of 99.77 out of 100 possible points. Congratulations to Kayla Shea, Khya d'Angelo, Rachael Epps, Megha Gudipudi, Zach Levin, Mackenzie Keith, and Lucius Neeley.
Additionally, EV sent three students to this same contest representing the Owen J. Roberts middle school. Christian Carrol, Aman Pothakamury, and Ava Zepp helped their team finish in eighth place overall competing against 57 teams from around the world.
