Supporting Those in Need after NC Fire
Many in our district have expressed the desire to help the families impacted by the tragic fire that happened in North Coventry Township on July 30, 2020. Below is a letter from North Coventry Elementary School Principal Bentman:
Dear NC Families,
Once again, your kindness, compassion, and service is very much appreciated. The outpouring of support last night was something to be thankful for. We are feverishly working on a plan. Once we hear from the North Coventry Township and American Red Cross, we will share details. Specifically, we are working on collecting sizes for clothes, shoes, and outerwear. There are specific items the children would like replaced as well and once we have this information, we will share it out.
North Coventry Elementary School will be open during the times below if you are interested in donating any items.
Today from 12:00 p.m. - 2: 00 p.m.
Saturday from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
Monday - Thursday from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Our PTO has created a fund to help support the short and long term needs of the families affected by the devastating fire. The NCPTO will collect these funds and work with Mrs. Grashof and myself to ensure the funds are used in the most effective and efficient ways. In an effort to be as transparent as possible, the NC PTO will report back to the community how the funds collected are spent, while, of course, maintaining the privacy of the affected families. The NCPTO is coordinating with the other parent teacher organizations in the OJR district to facilitate as much support as possible.
If you would like to contribute to this fund, please drop off a check or cash to North Coventry Elementary School during the donation drop off hours designated below. On the check and on the envelope please note "NC PTO Ashwood Family Fund". Additionally you can donate through our PayPal link here. Thank you for your support.
