Superintendent Search Update

 Tuesday, January 19, 2021

The superintendent search is moving into the candidate selection phase.

In preparation for selecting candidates to interview, the Board is currently reviewing stakeholder input from the focus groups conducted during the first two weeks of January. Focus groups were conducted with staff, high school students, parents and the community at large.

In addition, those who were unable to attend the focus groups but would like to provide input, may do so by completing an electronic survey at:

 https://www.cciu.org/OJRSDSuptSearchSurvey

Those who were able to attend the focus groups are also welcomed to complete the survey.

The School Board will screen applicants and select those for first-round interviews who best match the criteria developed from the focus groups and stakeholder surveys. At the conclusion of first-round interviews, the Board will select candidates to advance to second-round interviews. The School Board anticipates a minimum of three rounds of interviews, which will be conducted during the month of February.

Based on the progress to date, the School Board is on target to complete the search process by April 2021.

The School Board continues to be extremely appreciative of everyone’s input and support.
