School Open on 9/3/21

Dear OJRSD Families,

Last evening, Hurricane Ida’s remnants left behind historic devastation and flooding in our community. The administration team has been working together to determine the total impact of the storm in our district and to decide on the plan for opening buildings tomorrow. The plan for tomorrow, Friday, September 3, 2021, is for all OJRSD schools and offices to open on time.

If your family is in need of assistance or additional support, please contact your building principal and/or school counselor and your student will be connected with the support needed. Additionally, I would like to provide the following resources to you which offer information on flood safety, wells and additional community resources:

While this was not the first week of school I had imagined when I joined OJRSD as your superintendent, I know that our community will pull together and make this a successful school year! Please continue to stay safe and take care.

Sincerely,

Dr. Will Stout

Superintendent
