Dear Owen J. Roberts Staff and Families,

As many of you are aware, law enforcement authorities have been searching for an escaped prisoner throughout the weekend in the Pocopson Township area of Chester County, approximately 30 minutes to our south.

I have been in direct contact with the Pennsylvania State Police and our District Attorney.  At this time, there remains no recommendation from the State Police or our local police to change any practices with respect to school operations - including outside and after school activities.  If we are notified that any changes need to take place due to the course of the search, we will implement appropriate measures and notify you as soon as possible.

If we can be of any assistance, please feel free to contact your child's school.  Counselors will be available as always to provide support or answer any questions your child may have.
