The Jostens Photo Contest is comprised of 11 categories with 1st through 5th place winners in each category. Judges from across the country select the winning photos based on storytelling, quality, showstoppers, originality, and thoughtfulness. The Jostens premier photography competition recognizes students who have an incredible eye and demonstrate extraordinary skills.
The Owen J. Roberts High School award-winning yearbook program is led by Cora Garner ’24 and Amelia Jaeger ‘24, Co-Editors-in-Chief, under the direction of Megan Cook, Owen J. Roberts High School yearbook editorial adviser and David Schwenk, Owen J. Roberts High School yearbook financial adviser.
“My Yearbook Design students and Yearbook Club members are some of the most hardworking students I know. Sera Barbato is a freshman and has proven to be an asset to the Ledger Staff. Sera is always willing to photograph events and do whatever it takes to make our yearbook great. Sera snapped this photo of sophomore Alia Booth-Genthe during the Homecoming Pep Rally this fall. The judges selected Sera’s photo because of its composition (framing), and center of visual interest. I’m delighted to see Sera being recognized for her work and I’m excited to see what she does over her high school career,” said Yearbook editorial adviser Megan Cook.
