As of the 2024-2025 school year, French Creek qualifies as a Title I school. By definition, “Title I, Part A (Title I) of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act, as amended by the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESEA) provides financial assistance to local educational agencies (LEAs) and schools with high numbers or high percentages of children from low-income families to help ensure that all children meet challenging state academic standards” (US Department of Education, 2018).
French Creek now receives federal funds to support our supplemental educational and intervention programs. The majority of the federal funds that French Creek receives will be allocated to offset the salaries of additional reading and math support teachers. As a continued practice, French Creek will analyze student data throughout the course of the school year in order to identify students who may need additional support.
