• 2024 Grade 5 & 6 After School Handbell Information

     

    Handbells will again be offered to fifth and sixth grade students this year. Students involved in this group will  learn to read and perform handbell ensemble music.  We practice throughout the fall and perform at the NC Winter Handbell and Chorus Concert on Thursday, December 5th at 7PM.  Rehearsals this year will be held AFTER school primarily on Mondays. Please see the list below for the specific dates and times.  Registration will be held through School Pay and will be first come, first served.  Our group size is limited to 40 students.  At our first rehearsal on Monday, September 30th, there will be a short music proficiency assessment so that I can appropriately match each student with specific handbell parts so that all participating students can meet with success and play a variety of bells.

     

    Please look for registration to open on School Pay later this week.  I do ask that all students who register commit to attending our after school rehearsals AND our culminating performance on Thursday, December 5th at 7PM.  Please reach out to me at tvogel@ojrsd.net with any questions.
