    OJR FOA has provided graduating seniors pursuing careers in the arts for over 40 years and in excess of $150, 000!!         As the cost of a college education continues to skyrocket we continue to provide as much support as we can.   

    This year we will award  Friends of the Arts scholarships in the following fields: photography, film, graphic arts, pottery, textiles, architecture, fashion design, mixed media, fine arts, sculpture, art education, art therapy, landscape design, floral arts, and the performing arts.

    Scholarships will be sent directly to the college, art or technical school you plan to attend. Please see the scholarship submission form located on this site.  Please contact the Guidance Office for assistance. 

  • 2020 Scholarship Application

    INSTRUCTIONS FOR APPLYING FOR THE FRIENDS OF THE ARTS SCHOLARSHIPS

    • The application requires that students continue studies in the arts. In June we will be awarding several scholarships to students pursuing further education in the following categories of ART; photography, film, graphic arts, digital arts, pottery, textiles, architecture, fashion design, mixed media, fine arts, sculpture, art/music education, art or music therapy, landscape design, floral arts, industrial arts or the performing arts.  
      Scholarship awards will be sent directly to the college, art or technical school you plan to attend.  
    • Complete all the information on the attached sheet.
    • Return application to Ms. Jennifer Arnst in the Guidance Office. 
    • COMPLETED APPLICATION must be received  ON/OR BEFORE 12 MIDNIGHT MARCH 25, 2020. NO EXCEPTION WILL BE GIVEN TO THE APPLICATION DEADLINE.
    • Students must participate in an interview on April 15, 2020, in order to be considered for the scholarship. Set up an interview time with Mrs. Gunson in the guidance office and request a transcript be available at the interview.
    • For the interview - bring two pieces of artwork or prepare material for dramatic or musical performance of your choice.
