I have been teaching English at Owen J. Roberts High School since 2000. I have taught a variety of both electives and core classes including 9th grade honors, 11th grade college prep., SAT prep, journalism, and debate. I enjoy a diverse and perhaps eclectic range of novels and books. Some of my favorites are 1984, Slaughter-House Five, The Help, and The Kite Runner. I also greatly enjoy music. I have been playing saxophone since I was 10 years old, at which time the sax was larger than I was. I also played in New Orleans while in college, in both a local group and as a member of the Tulane University jazz band. Over the past five years, I have also added bass to my musical resume.
