Degrees and Certifications:

Mr. Kevin Kirby

I am very excited to work in the OJR School District as an assistant principal at OJRHS.   I previously spent four years as the assistant principal at Pottsgrove Middle School. Prior to my tenure at Pottsgrove, I spent twenty years teaching Math and Language Arts at Owen J. Roberts Middle School. In addition to my regular classroom duties, I also served as team leader, discipline teacher, and technology leadership teacher. Outside of the regular school day, I coached a variety of sports at the high school and middle school levels. I also served the athletic department in a number of ways including scheduling, game working, game management, and other duties, even fulfilling the role of acting as athletic director on occasions.  I am very excited to put my years of experience, in a variety of capacities, to work in an effort to enhance the high school experience of our OJRHS students and families.

The one common theme that has always resonated with me, is that at the end of the day, the most important thing is how you treat people. Trust that I will endeavor to treat all people with respect in an effort to build relationships that will enable all parties to maximize their potential, in and out of the classroom.  I have been a part of this community for the last 25 years, and I look forward to working in the high school, and the community, moving forward.

I grew up in Williamsport, PA, and attended Bloomsburg University. My family still lives in the Williamsport area, and I love to return home throughout the year, especially during the Little League World Series. In my spare time, I love watching sports, especially Penn State and Eagles football, along with the Phillies, Sixers, and Phoenix Suns.  While I love watching the aforementioned teams, watching my sons play sports has become my favorite “team” to watch.  I currently live in Warwick Twp., with my wife, and our three sons.
