Course Objectives/Learning Outcomes:

  • In Spanish V you will be developing and building on intermediate/advanced level listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in Spanish. The focus is on real world application of the language.  This course will help you develop the necessary skills to use Spanish in our global society as well as prepare you for future college studies.

    By the completion of this course, students will be able to:

    • Communicate using verbs in the following tenses/ moods: present indicative, present perfect, preterit, imperfect, future, conditional, present subjunctive, imperfect subjunctive
    • Perform on all levels, speaking, reading, writing, listening comprehension with respect to the following thematic units: the work place, family customs and values, communication and social networking, travel, finance, health and medicine
    • Compare and contrast our community with Spanish speaking communities around the world
